James M. Stedman, Ph.D. graduated summa cum laude from Rockhurst College with a BA degree in philosophy. He switched fields and obtained an MA (R) and Ph.D. in psychology from St Louis University, where he was an NDEA Fellow. Following completion of his internship, he joined the staff of the Child Guidance Center of San Antonio and was Chief Psychologist there from 1970 to 1997. He joined the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry, UTHSCSA in 1968 as an assistant professor and was promoted to full professor with tenure in 1986. He is currently a clinical professor in the department. In 1973, he was awarded a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology. In 1986, he was elected as a Fellow of the Division of Clinical Psychology of the American Psychological Association. He is currently a member of the Child and Adolescent Division of the department. |
