Health Restoration and Care Systems Management
(210) 567-2992

Undergraduate teaching is my primary focus. I teach clinical and didactic in two core undergraduate nursing courses each semester. The Adult II (acute care) course consists of 135 clinical hours and the Leadership and Management course consists of 135 clinical hours. I have a different group of students in each course. Both courses are team-taught and thus classroom teaching is a shared responsibility. I currently coordinate the Adult II clinical course and serve as the Lead Teacher in the Adult II didactic course. I previously coordinated the Bridge course at University Hospital clinical elective, an elective in which students work with preceptors in select clinical areas. I previously coordinated and taught in the graduate Medical-Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist track. I served as a national president of the Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) and continue to serve as an Ambassador for AMSN to promote the specialty of medical-surgical nursing.
