I embrace my roles as a clinician-educator-researcher. My extensive clinical experiences give me examples of rich interactions with patients that I use to engage students and bring the clinic into the classroom. Using new technological tools allows me to enhance teaching. I have refined the use of clinical images and simulations to assess how student apply what they learn in real-life situations. Sharing my technology skills and passion for teaching with other educators in inter-professional settings and at other institutions is rewarding. My teaching has been recognized with teaching awards at the program, university, and state level.
