The specific aims of the proposed research are to: (1) covalently bind self-recharging N-halamines onto plastic tubing using simple, practical, and cost-effective methods; (2) characterize the mechanical properties, antimicrobial activity, anti-adherent function, and rechargeability of the new tubes; (3) evaluate the biofilm-controlling function and safety of the new tubes in model dental water delivery systems, and (4) test the new tubes in outpatient dental clinics to determine their overall performance. |

The objective of this study was to assess the safety and tolerability of an experimental stannous fluoride dentifrice relative to a Marketed dentifrice in an oral soft tissue (OST) study over a four day treatment period (Day 0 - Day 03). The study population consisted of 120 generally healthy subjects. The study was conducted in two cohorts. The study completed with 119 subjects (60 in Cohort 1 and 59 in Cohort 2). |
