Dr. Fredrickson did his premedical studies at the University of California at Berkeley and received his MD from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He received a AFUD grant to study at the University of Miamis Miami Project to Cure Paralysis. After post-graduate training in PM&R at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Dr. Fredrickson joined the faculty in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. He specializes in the care of people with spinal cord injuries and related disorders. Special interests include caring for the athlete with a disability, infertility after SCI, neuroprosthetics and neural plasticity / recovery after central nervous system injury. Dr. Fredrickson is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and has subspecialty certification in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. He is a member of the American Spinal Injury Association and the American Paraplegia Society.
