| Preparation Hrs: 2, Student Contact Hrs: 1; The preparation hours and the student contact hours listed are per conference. Current Orthopaedic Oncology cases are prepared, organized, and discussed during a weekly conference with the Orthopaedic Oncologic surgeon, 2-3 Orthopaedic residents, and any rotating medical student in attendance. The radiologic features of each case are presented for preoperative planning and the differential diagnostic considerations and pathologic correlative data are discussed. The patients surgical planning and outcome are often affected by the discussion that occurs during this conference. |

I am responsible for the creation, development, implementation and modification of this clinical conference. The conference is attended by the Rheumatology faculty (2-3), clinical fellows (1-2), residents-in-training (1-2), and a medical student (if on Rheumatology rotation). The imaging studies of current rheumatologic patients are interpreted and discussed. In some cases, the discussions ultimately affect clinical management. With the recent addition of radiology faculty, my current role involves organization of the conference schedule and presentation of the conference approximately 4 times per year. |
