Dr. Suri is Professor and Vice Chairman of Clinical Operations of the Department of Radiology at the University of Texas Health San Antonio. In addition, Dr. Suri serves as the Medical Director of Radiology at University Health System San Antonio and is the President Medical Dental Staff (Chief of Staff) at the University Hospital.

Image guided Interventional Oncologic management- Established the minimal invasive endovascular program for treatment of liver cancers at the University Hospital and Veterans Affairs Hospital San Antonio, where none existed before. Multiple invited presentations at national and international meetings are evidence expertise in this field. Areas of expertise include 1. Chemoembolization and radioembolization for liver malignancies 2. Percutaneous image guided minimal invasive ablations for liver, renal and lung lesions |
Quality and Safety- As Vice Chair of Quality and Safety at UTHSCSA Radiology (2012-15), current Vice Chair of Clinical Operations and member/past chair of the University Hospital Quality Risk Management committee, I have been actively involved in reviewing and improving quality standards in healthcare. I continue the impetus to quality through my roles as Medical Director of Radiology at UHS and Chief of Staff for UHS. |

As the Course Director (2006-2007), Co-Course Director (2007-2014) and teaching faculty (2006-present), I have presented and supervised conferences at the Morning Interventional Radiology Didactic and Case Based conferences, and have maintained teaching for the Interventional Radiology Fellowship program. This conference series is attended by Interventional Radiology fellows, and rotating radiology residents/medical students. These half hour conferences occur Wednesday through Friday from August to June of the academic year, including case conferences (Wednesdays), Lectures (Thursdays) and Journal clubs/Mortality and Morbidity conferences (Fridays). | |||

I am responsible for collecting, organizing and presenting Radiology Board appropriate cases, as ?unknowns? to senior Radiology residents preparing for the American Board of Radiology Oral Examination. This formal review of cases occurs during 1-2 two hour sessions during the last 4 months of their senior year (4 hour sessions annually for the last 7 years). The teaching program in Interventional Radiology coupled with Board reviews has had a successful > 90% pass rate for first time examinees in the Interventional Radiology section of the American Board of Radiology Oral Exam.
