I have spent 30 years of professional life serving the primary health care needs of South Texas as a Family Medicine Physician and a teacher of Family Medicine residents and medical students. I served as the Program Director of the McAllen Family Medicine Residency Program and Family Medical Center-UT Clinic for 28 years. Using this busy primary care clinic, I helped care for over 50,000 clinic and hospitalized patient encounters and helped deliver over 18,000 babies. We graduated 172 Family Medicine Residents; 80% serve the state of Texas.
