Dr. Haney is the Director of Graduate Prosthodontics in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. Dr. Haney is originally from Midland, Texas and attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1970 with a BS degree in Chemical Engineering. He earned his DDS in 1974 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. After completion of dental school he entered the USAF as a general dentist. He completed Prosthodontic Residency training at the University of Southern California in 1979 with USAF sponsorship. He retired from active duty in 1998 after a military career that included 15 years of teaching Prosthodontics to general dentists in either one-year or two-year General Dentistry residency programs.
Dr Haney entered the private practice of Prosthodontics in Fort Worth, Texas in 1999. That practice was a fully integrated prosthodontic specialty practice with emphasis on rehabilitation of worn dentitions and implant facilitated rehabilitation utilizing fixed and removable modalities. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Graduate Division and maintains an active intramural faculty practice. While a dedicated academic, Dr Haney remains a clinically centered Prosthodontist.

30 years of clinical experience in prosthodontic rehabilitations requiring multi-disciplinary treatment sequencing, management, and ultimately prosthodontic restoration. |
Phonetic boundaries in dentistry -
Phonetic limits defining occlusal vertical dimension and anterior tooth positions for prosthetic dentistry. |
Rehabilitation of Extremely Worn Dentitions -
