Dr. Ramanujam is the Chief of the Division of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery within the Department of Orthopaedics. She completed her podiatric surgical residency and postgraduate research fellowship at UTHSCSA under the direct mentorship and supervision of Thomas Zgonis, DPM, FACFAS. She also completed a Master of Science degree in Clinical Investigation at UTHSCSA. Her professional interests include diabetic limb salvage surgery, elective foot and ankle surgery, resident and student education, and basic science/clinical research. She is currently the Medical Director of the Texas Diabetes Institute Podiatry Clinic. She serves a Co-Chair for the Annual International External Fixation Symposium and is actively involved in numerous research projects.
