I am a board-certified abdominal radiologist, currently working as an Associate Professor (Clinical) in the Department of Radiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. I am the Director of Abdominal Imaging. I supervise directly 6 faculty radiologists and three clinical fellows, and several radiology residents. Abdominal Imaging section has one of the highest work RVUs in the department and carries a significant workload of the department. Abdominal Imaging is a major part of the residency training with 7-8 residents on the service each month. Our section is academically very successful and present scientific papers, posters, and educational exhibits at many national radiology meetings. My areas of special interest include imaging of the renal and pancreatic pathologies, female reproductive system, and liver and kidney transplant imaging. I am also the Director of Medical Student Education in Radiology and Discipline Coordinator for Radiology for CIRCLE curriculum in the UTHSCSA Medical School. I am actively involved in teaching medical students, radiology residents, and abdominal radiology fellows.
