Orofacial pain research -
I am interested in the mechanisms of neuropathic and inflammatory pain, especially that manifested in the orofacial system such as dental pulpal pain and trigeminal neuralgia. I focus my research on the roles of Voltage-gated Sodium Channels and Transient Receptor Potential Channels in the formation and development of orofacial pain and try to develop analgesic strategy to eliminate or alleviate such pain. |
