Administrative Development and Clinical Operations -
I have developed a clinical passion to understand and improve ED flow and throughput. My goal is to facilitate better care for our patients and achieve a superior clinical environment for our providers as a result of my work. I have devoted my time and effort to solidifying my education in administrative leadership specific to ED clinical operations and management. The skills I have developed have enabled me to increase our department efficiency, improve patient care continuity, and improve patient and provider satisfaction. My research and academic interests are in this arena including QI studies on ED efficiency and process improvement. |
Patient access to care and follow up -
I have particular interest in establishing care continuity across our system to decrease repeat ED visits and improve the health of vulnerable populations. I have collaborated with UT and UHS partners to develop, improve, and sustain current continuity pathways. I envision future growth and expansion of these patient care pathways that will provide the foundation for future QA studies. The goal is decrease the need for admission and decrease healthcare costs for the patient and hospital while simultaneously increasing access to care for the community. |
