Dr. Hancock currently serves as the Deputy Director of Research for the South Texas Research Organizational Network Guiding Studies on Trauma & Resilience (STRONG STAR) Consortium and the Consortium to Alleviate PTSD (CAP) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). In her position, she directs and coordinates the administration of clinical trials with the Department of Defense and the Veterans Affairs Administration. Dr. Hancock, previously a Senior Research Psychologist with the U.S. Army Research Institute (ARI), has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology with specialization in Sport and Exercise Psychology as well as Measurement and Statistics and a M.A. in Applied Experimental Psychology. She has over seven years of experience in leading research projects and managing multiple contracts with distributed contract teams for the Department of the Army in the areas of human performance, rapid training development, difficult to train skills, program evaluation, and assessment. Dr. Hancock has worked closely with several military organizations including the U.S. Army Special Operations Command and several operational units on FORSCOM installations conducting field observations, focus groups, and empirical data collections.
