Dr. Kay L. Ness is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry and provides periodontal services in her faculty practice. She received her D.D.S. in 1983 from UTHSCSA, a General Practice Residency certificate in 1984, an M.S. degree from UTHSCSA in 1995, and a certificate in Periodontics in 1995 from Wilford Hall Air Force Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Ness joined the UTHSCSA School of Dentistry faculty after retiring from the United States US Air Force. Her active duty service included teaching positions as Director of Periodontal Training in the AEGD-2 residency at Lackland Air Force Base as well as the AEGD-1 residency at the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. She continues to staff AEGD-1 residents part time at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital where she provides periodontal services to our nation?s disabled veterans.
