Dr. Montanez is an Assistant Professor/Clinical and Board-Certified Family Physician who joined the Department of Family and Community Medicine at UT Health San Antonio in 2015. She provides patient-centered care to patients across the lifespan and teaches medical students and Family Medicine residents in a variety of clinical settings. In her continuity clinic in the Family Health Center on the Robert B. Green Campus, Dr. Montanez provides personalized care for a panel of XXXX patients. She also cares for and teaches residents and medical students in the Family Health Center, Family Medicine In-patient Service at University Hospital, Kenwood and Salinas Pre-Natal Clinics, and the Bexar County Juvenile Detention Center (JDC).

After earning her M.D. from St. George?s University School of Medicine, Dr. Montanez completed UT Health San Antonio?s Family Medicine Residency, where she honed her administrative skills by serving as Chief Resident. She joined the department?s faculty and became core faculty in the residency in 2015. Her areas of interest include providing patient-centered care, caring for underserved populations, teaching Family Medicine residents and students, and conducting research on domestic violence.
