I am an academic clinician-educator. I earned my medical degree in Colombia and then completed my training in Internal medicine and pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine at UT Health San Antonio, followed by an additional year in interventional pulmonology and lung transplant. After my fellowship I worked mainly at the outpatient UHS-downtown pulmonary clinic, serving an underserved predominantly Hispanic population. Even though I love every aspect of my subspecialty I have found my passion in advanced pulmonary procedures and procedural teaching. I have been active in the development and growth of our interventional pulmonary program and closely involved in our fellow?s education as the director of our new procedure service.
