I am an academic clinical gastroenterologist working since 2011 primarily at University Hospital and at the Robert B. Green campus of University Health System, where I play key roles in both patient care and educational training in consultative and endoscopic gastroenterology. In addition to all conventional endoscopic procedures, I have expertise in balloon-assisted small bowel enteroscopy, a special procedure that I offer as a tertiary referral service to the San Antonio and South Texas community. |

Since joining the faculty in 2011 I have served 11 four-week rotations as the supervising inpatient attending for the Gastroenterology Consult service at University Hospital, responsible for teaching both endoscopy and inpatient consultation to a team that typically consists of 3 GI fellows, 1 Internal Medicine resident and 1 medical student.
