I have worked in women`s health nursing most of my nursing career. I chose nurse-midwifery to help women make the best choices for their health, their pregnancy and their birth through education and partnership. In 2007 I switched from birthing babies to birthing baby nurses by teaching. My goal in teaching OB nursing is to help students understand basic nursing principles as they apply to the childbearing family and hopefully recruit new nurses to women`s health as a specialty.
