Rita Hannah (LTC retired, U.S. Army) is an assistant professor, clinical at the University of Texas Health at San Antonio (12 month faculty for nursing students). She has board certifications as a pediatric nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner. Her expertise is in the clinical management of pediatric and family practice patients and teaching nursing baccalaureate undergraduate and graduate students in health assessment, primary care clinics and high fidelity simulation. She currently teaches in NURS4211 Child and Family Health Clinical, NURS6110 Advanced Health Assessment and Reasoning: Clinical Application, NURS6621 Family Nurse Practitioner Diagnosis and Management for Young Families: Clinical Application, NURS6130 Nurse Practitioner Conceptual Basis for Advanced Practice Nursing, and NURS6250 Advanced Health Promotion, Health Protection, and Disease Prevention.
