Dr. Wendy Lee is an Associate Professor/Clinical at the University of Texas Health San Antonio School of Nursing. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. She is a retired from the United States Air Force in 2016. She has been a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for the past 20 years. As an expert clinician/educator, she earned the role as an Air Force Surgeon General FNP consultant. Dr. Lee created inter-professional hybrid simulation education on proper assessment and treatment for the sexual assault (SA) victim. She reviewed and revised the policies on SA prevention and response, to include the standardization of sexual assault training, qualifications and experience of the providers. This review and revisions lead to authoring the AF instruction to standardize and improve medical care for the victims of sexual assault. Dr. Lee completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice from George Washington University with a concentration on inter-professional graduate training using simulation.
